(VR 723912) is a non-profit, non-political, non-governmental organization, focusing on research activities in the area of Tamil language, civilization, anthropology, sociology and history. Our vision is to link people interested in Tamil language regardless of their geographical location. Tamil Heritage Foundation International (THFi) with its global presence with branches is India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Germany, constantly engaged in research based field work, publications and community activities. Digital preservation is the key to protect our valuable heritage in this digital age. We engage in the digital preservation of Tamil Heritage monuments and manuscripts; We evolved over the years with the technical know-how for preserving heritage materials such as ancient Tamil palm leaf manuscripts and old books in electronic form that are easily readable in the web and mobile devices. This provides not only the freedom of information but assures democracy of knowledge. By web enabling our ancient scripts and antiquities that were mostly read and understood by particular section of Tamil Society, we make it available to all sections of Tamil society, International students of Tamil language and culture and to scholars in general.
